Warranty
Kraken Boardshop does not warranty any of our vendors items. The company who manufactured that particular item will handle your warranty. If you think you have a defective product, you can contact the manufacturer directly. However, you will need the receipt for the purchase.
Kraken Boardshop will honor a 30 day warranty for anything in the Wash Boards collection. If you have an issue with a board, you are protected from date of purchase for warping and delamination for 30 days. Using public social websites to promote any warranty issues before contacting us will not help your warranty process. Do not wait until day 31 to contact us if on the day you bought it you noticed a possible defect as the warranty will be void. If it looks like a possible defect, you need to send it in with a copy of your receipt, warranty is void without one. We do not cover any Wash Board purchased from a third party or un-authorized dealer, like Facebook Marketplace, or a garage sale. We will confirm if it was a defect, abused or normal wear and tear. If the part is found to defective, it can be replaced, or refunded. Water damage is not covered by the warranty. Broken boards due to impact are not considered defective. If you stomp a trick and snap a deck, that is not covered under warranty as any deck can snap. Chips, stress cracks, or separations (minor delams) due to impact on the nose, or tail at 2 MPH, or 40MPH are not considered defects. Stress cracks are not considered defects. It is best to avoid moisture, and extreme temperature changes. Boards left in constant direct sunlight might eventually start to yellow as that is the nature of some epoxies. Inspect any deck before you ride. Warped decks are covered under warranty period of 30 days, so inspect your deck on arrival! We suggest keeping bolts snug. Over tightened bolts, however, could crack and delaminate epoxy and will not be covered under warranty. Stress cracks in the base veneer will not affect the overall integrity of the deck. Warranty is void from 2nd hand purchases. Please be aware that any shipping costs involved with returns will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Shipping costs involved in any returned orders are the responsibility of the purchaser, and are non-refundable. Any unauthorized returned goods, or refused delivery will be charged a 10% re-stocking fee, as well as any shipping charges involved in the return. Each warranty is handled on a case-by-case basis.
